Humanities & Shakespeare Mentoring in Ashland
High School • College • Adult Learners • Actors
I offer one-on-one mentoring for students and actors who want to deepen their understanding of literature, strengthen essay writing, and build confidence with Shakespeare and complex texts.
I specialize in:
• AP Literature preparation
• Shakespeare & early modern texts
• College-level humanities essays
• Thesis clarity and argument structure
• Shakespeare monologue and text coaching
I hold a BFA in Theatre & Original Works and an MA in Shakespeare & Creativity, and I bring over a decade of experience in theatre, writing, and education to each session.
Sessions are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals — whether preparing for an exam, developing stronger academic skills, or unlocking a role through close reading.

Peace of Mind for Parents
Working with students is a responsibility I take seriously. I maintain an up-to-date background check through Care.com and Wyzant, and I am happy to provide professional references and proof of degrees upon request. With more than a decade of experience teaching and mentoring young people — and advanced degrees in Theatre and Shakespeare & Creativity — I bring the same professionalism to tutoring and coaching as I do to my artistic work.

Scholarships & Community Support for Classes
I believe creativity should be accessible to everyone. To help make my workshops more inclusive, I offer a limited number of need-based partial scholarships each session.
If cost is a barrier, please complete the short Scholarship Application Form or email me directly at creative@annikanori.com
Scholarships are awarded based on need and availability.
Support the Class Scholarship Fund
If you are able, you’re warmly invited to contribute to the Scholarship Fund. 100% of donations go directly toward helping another student participate. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps open the door for teens and adults who might not otherwise be able to explore playwriting and storytelling.
Together, we can make space for more voices, more stories, and more creative community.
