Classes & Coaching

I’m Annika Nori Ahlgrim, a multidisciplinary storyteller, educator, and theatre artist based in Ashland, Oregon. I hold a BFA in Theatre & Original Works and an MA in Shakespeare & Creativity, and I’ve spent over a decade working in theatre, writing, and education.

I love helping people unlock their voice — whether through writing, reading, drama, Shakespeare, or history — and guiding actors and writers of all ages to approach their craft with confidence. My teaching style is supportive, creative, and tailored to each student’s needs, whether you’re preparing for a performance, tackling a challenging text, or building stronger academic skills.

Location

Remote sessions are available for tutoring and coaching.

Peace of Mind for Parents

Working with students is a responsibility I take seriously. I maintain an up-to-date background check through Care.com and Wyzant, and I am happy to provide professional references and proof of degrees upon request. With more than a decade of experience teaching and mentoring young people — and advanced degrees in Theatre and Shakespeare & Creativity — I bring the same professionalism to tutoring and coaching as I do to my artistic work.

You can read testimonials from former students, co-teachers, and cast members here, or explore my portfolios for an idea of the experience I bring to:

Parents can feel confident knowing that every session is conducted with clear communication, respect, and student well-being as the top priority.

Scholarships & Community Support for Classes

I believe creativity should be accessible to everyone. To help make my workshops more inclusive, I offer a limited number of need-based partial scholarships each session. Scholarships reduce tuition from $325 to $200 or $150 for the full course.

If cost is a barrier, please complete the short Scholarship Application Form or email me directly at creative@annikanori.com

Scholarships are awarded based on need and availability.

Support the Class Scholarship Fund

If you are able, you’re warmly invited to contribute to the Scholarship Fund. 100% of donations go directly toward helping another student participate. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps open the door for teens and adults who might not otherwise be able to explore playwriting and storytelling.

Together, we can make space for more voices, more stories, and more creative community.
